we have more coverage of the Olympics then 1 person can watch. my cable company has 5 HD channels showing different sports etc. 2 of the channels are 24 hours a day.

So Blonska of the Ukraine just got silver in the Heptathalon, her team mate getting gold. Great for her but whats interesting is that she got banned for steroid use a couple years back. So she served the ban and then on merit she's selected by her country to run again and gets a silver for her country. Great

Her in Her Majesty's Great Britian we have one of the best sprinters in the world Dwain Chamber, same thing, he got a ban, served his time and could run again but the anal retentive British Athletics comittee says oh no you don't, we won't allow it, even though your the fastest man we have, we'll cut our nose off to spite our face because we're so richeous!

No who we got? a whole cup of nothing!

I'm glad that Phelps got the 8th gold, and that Bolt destroyed the 100m sprint record. That's what it's all about: giving the performance of your lifetime during the Olympics.

When I was watching the swimming, I wasn't sure it was USA's until Phelps came out of his turn. When Phelps head surfaced and he was in the lead, they just held it with ease after that.

I like USA getting screwed in the individual women's uneven bars.

I didn't watch all of the gymnastics, but from what I saw, the Chinese always seemed to have a slight boost in their score.

Afghanistan won a bronze medal in the men’s under 58-kilogram taekwondo competition...

Good for them. After 30 years of fighting in that country, they still are able to get a medal.

Afghan medalist wins a house, cheers from country - Olympics - Yahoo! Sports

Wow, I've been really impressed with the Olympics and even more impressed with how well GB have done this far considering the size of population in the respective countries.

Such variety of sports to get sports considered for the olympic games, basically there is a limited schedule and only so many events can be included.

I agree, I have watched a lot of the Olympics this year, and I have enjoyed it.

I want to go to London in 2012.
