For everyone that is playing for the first time, I would suggest doing a mock draft or two and then asking questions. RB will touch the ball a lot, So will QB's, WR can be a wild card week to week, TE can really depend on how much a team uses them, Defense and Kickers don't have a large range in total fantasy points between the top and the top 10.

I think I am just going to wing it on draft day, it will make it more interesting.Originally posted by Shibby View PostFor everyone that is playing for the first time, I would suggest doing a mock draft or two and then asking questions. Drafting is really easy. They already have the players ranked so it always shows you the best available players going by last years stats. The one thing I do suggest to new people is check the "bye week" of the players you dont want to many players off at the same time. You guys will see what I mean its very simple for someone that hasnt played before dont worry its very easy. Still need 4 players and we have like 12 days before we start. We have to fill the leauge to play so help us out everyone.

The players are ranked by a computer system, so there is some gut involved. As for the bye week, do not pass up on a better player simply because it will have to many on a bye week. Personally I worry about bye weeks after the season has started. You will have unproductive players throughout the season so I find it easy just to drop a low scoring player and pick up another for that week.

Good point, but I hate that week when all your players are off. It seams to always happen when you really need a win.

I just hope everyone, whether you are experienced or not, plays to win each week and not give up if their record is bad. The fun is about getting the wins each week and finding enjoyment in watching games you wouldn't normally watch. Winning the whole thing gives you bragging rights for about a week and it's really not that exciting for anyone except the people who are still in it come playoffs. Even that can be pretty anti-climatic.
