I never said that. But, it just seems like instead of committing 100% to bettering your body & health, it feels like there are obstacles that come up all the time, that really shouldn't be that difficult to maneuver. We all have busy jobs and home lives. Yet, we MAKE the time to eat. We plan our days out according to when we need to eat. We ask ourselves: "Where will I be at this time so I can eat this meal, or if I am mobile, when will I actually consume it? In the car, etc" If you're 30 minutes past a meal, that's no big deal.Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostI also don't ever remember saying, "Im giving up on my diet and working out."
Secondly, state labor laws REQUIRE that you get two 15 minute breaks during an 8 hour day, AND at least 30 minutes for lunch. I understand you are grateful for your opportunity. However, it is unlawful for your employer to make what seems to be sort of threatening behavior IF you do take a lunch break. So, take it upon yourself to Google gyms in the area, or just go for a run outside. The "hopefully you won't have time to run" response, could actually be deemed as a labor law violation. If you are hourly or salary, they cannot force you not to take a lunch. I would just get up during the day and leave for an hour. It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission, so if they have a problem with it, then they need to come up with alternative times for you to take a break. You're already working at least a 50 hr work week, so please explain to me why you can't take an hour for lunch.
