  • English Bull Terrier

Been looking into getting this breed for a LONG time, i think theyre gorgeous and have heard nothing but good things about them.

I've always had smalls dogs, mainly chihuahuas, but I am getting sick of them. I want a dog that i can play with without being scared of breaking it.

anyone have this breed? or any information on a kennel or breeder site that I can find a good pupp?

i cannot wait to get this dog.

I have never found a good breeder in the newspaper, but that might just be the Atlanta area. Look online for a good local breeder, if you live in or near a major city you should be able to find some good ones. I have always found a breeder online, and then I usually talk to them a few times through email and phone to see what kind of person they are.

If a breeder is trying to make money on dogs then pick a different one, a good breeder is someone that is trying to better the breed and keep it pure. A good breeder knows that most of the time you can't make money, they do it for the love of the dogs.

If the breeder has litters ever month run away from them.

My family dog from when I was younger was bought from a breeder, and so was the husky I just got. I have decided that my next dog which will most likely be a husky will be a rescue. So, look into a rescue dog if you are ok with that. I have always heard good things about rescue dogs.

Just like we have here for fitness they have them for everything else. I'm registered at a Boxer forum and it's a good resource when you have random questions that are breed specific.

I agree with looking online. When I bought my dog I was more concerned with getting the exact dog I wanted, as opposed to it coming from a breeder in town. I drove from Florida to St Louis to get my puppy!

get yourself a british bulldog, doesn't require much excercise, you can blame your farts on them and you'll always feel leana and handsome next to them

Not to rain on your parade here, but I don't suggest the breed. Terriers in general are notoriously stubborn. I understand it's all how you raise them, but terriers need a TON of exercise. And, when I say a ton, I mean- you take them for a 30 minute walk, and they still want to play when you get back home for at least another 45 minutes. My parents had a Welsh Terrier when we were younger, and we had to get rid of it because it needed so much time & effort

Some friends of ours moved here, and they had one. They lived with us for 2 weeks. We have 2 dogs- 1 is a Rott, and the other is a Shepherd/beagle mix. Knocked the Shepherd mix right on her back, and went right after my Rott. My Rott took a little nip at him so he would quit. And, I just talked to the owner a few days ago, and said the dog had knocked a few dogs on their asses....Cost him $1k for vet bills to one dog. He is so high strung, I just think you will have more than you can handle. And, again- if you exercise them and raise them right, it's possible this won't happen, but you really need to spend a lot of time with them. I'm just throwing this out there.
