    Got the results of my blood work a few days ago. Everything thankfully is in check.

    Cholesterol is normal, BUT my HDL (good cholesterol) is low, and LDL (bad cholesterol) is high.

    I told my doctor my diet, and the massive red meat intake i used to have. 4-5 burgers a week, and beef post workout everyday i lifted.

    My question is, how can i reverse my HDL and LDL levels???

        i didnt think cardio had any effect on cholesterol, its 100% diet

          fish oil, oatmeal, less fatty beef like burgers etc..

            About a month and a half ago, i shot up my fish oil intake to 6g a day. Oatmeal has always been there and now i added Flax seed.

            I have come to the conclusion that my burger intake was too damn high. I wasn't afraid to eat a 1lb burger once a week. Lesson learned, thank you all.

            Also, high blood pressure and high cholesterol run in my family. Thankfully, none has got me so far.

              1lb of burger once a week is not really high at all.

                      good fats as well as all these things have already been pointed out above.. They also make a script Healthy Fat pill too..

                      For me, since my lipids have always been a mess even when off juice for over 2 years getting scripts are much cheaper than buying what I need from supplement companys.. and you at least should be getting what it is supposed to be also

                        interesting. I did talk to my doc about medication. He said i won't prescribe any because its your diet. Aside from the 1 lb burger every week. I was eating more red meat everyday.

                        Going back in 6 months to see if anything changed. If not than i will jump on meds i guess.
