Does everyone still remember where they were the moment they found out?

I was driving to work listening to the radio, thinking it was some story or history subject for about 15 minutes before I realized it was going on right then.

I was just getting into my 2nd class of the day. It was history, geography, or some shit. It was Mr. Griffin's class though and I remember the telecast and everyone's reactions when the towers fell. I remember that so vividly like it was yesterday. Amazing how that works.

I was laid up on my mums sofa dozing, just got back from travelling the world, last place I went before home was NYC and I'd got my picture taken on the towers days before.

I'm Canadian but I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard about it as if it was yesterday.... I was entering my gym and saw it on the news on the TV, and then as one of the girls at the front desk was explaining to me what happened, the second plane hit the towers.... It was bone chilling and I will never forget....

I had called out sick that day and was sleeping when it started. My wife woke me up and turned on the TV. We just sat there stunned for most of the day.

I think the most powerful feeling, other than rage, was that of uncertainty. It was like everything you thought you knew, the comfort, the stability of our country was a very thin veil that just got pulled back a bit. I think I took things for granted more back then than I do now. I realize now that no one is untouchable and that just because we've been lucky and blessed in the past doesn't mean we will continue to be.
