I was taking the day off putting some sod in my backyard. I was in the rental section at Home Depot trying to rent one of those water filled rollers for the sod. They guys at the counter had a small TV on in the back that was showing the live TV feed and that's the first glimpse I had of what was happening. I'll never forget it.

I don't think anyone will ever forget where they were/what they were doing - because every year, you're reminded of how you felt at that exact moment. :(

I'm not worried, but it's kind of ironic that my parents are flying here to see us right now.

i was sitting in 7th grade science class going over the structure of the human heart when the principal came on the PA system and told us that there had been a tragedy. we ended watching TV in the remaining classes. my dad came to my school to pick me up because he thought that they were releasing kids because of state of emergency procedures.

after that year, all the elementary schools in my area have another form sent home every year asking the parents for all responsible adults in the household and the name and address of a relative who lives out of our state. my aunt is a teacher at a high school and said that if there is ever an emergency involving their school building, all the kids have to go to the neighboring synagogue. of course there are more reasons behind having these back-up plans in public schools and places in general, but it's this very event that perpetuated the idea of having such plan ready.

i was roaming the halls my senior year in high school. i remember the cop that we had stationed at our school who i was friends with called me in from the hallway and we sat and watched it on tv for like 2 hours. he couldn't care less that i was skipping class, hell i forgot i was skipping class. it was one thing after another on the tv. first plane hits, second plane hits, pentagon gets hit, right tower falls, left tower falls. no movie could make that shit up. :(

I love that picture....But I find it ironic that the person uses Superman when he's suppose to protect us and typically, when Superman failed, he always made things better...

When the US of A stops worrying about what other countries think, and doesn't hold back because they care too much about middle east oil...and openly declares that 10,000 muslims will die for every American killed. Then follow through with it by indiscriminantly bombing the fuck out of every damn country that's a hotbead for terrorist shitheads with no regard for political correctness. That WILL get their attention, I assure you.

This thread is about remembering those who died, I'm not trying to jack that theme. But in connection therewith I have to say that although the authorities do a great job, the fact that bin laden still hasn't been located, to me says that the muslim comunity could do more, and its a missguided loyalty because its just perpetuating further death of their own people and here in britain small scirmishes are starting to occur and make news and it relates back to a bunch of islam fundamentalist types protesting at the celebratory return of our royal anglican regiment from the middle east.

I feel that most people's hate for those people did to use has faded, If it was my way we would have been way mor aggressive in this war. I do not usually like country but i agree with these lyrics
