    funny, I understand the prices jumping on costal areas, I fled after Hurricane Ivan destryoed gulf coast florida and prices jumped cuz of a shortage scare due to not being able to get the gas to the stations, but prices jumping nationwide cuz a few oil platforms have shut down for the duration of the hurricane.... nonsense. Media hype is all to blame here. Oil prices hinge on future predictions of supply and demand and who better to blow that WAY outta proportion than the media.

    Haven't been here in a while, it's good to post again =)

        Sort of true, but it's not like it's a nationwide shortage. They will get the gas back late the next day or the following day. That's no reason to rape people already in a tough situation.
