    Who is watching and who isn't?

    I can see tonight turning into a smear fest, seems like all the talk about changing government is out the window, with only 4 weeks left it is only about taking shots at each other. This 2 party system has got to hit the road.

    Americans=:moon:

    I'll be watching...It's already turned into a smear fest the past few days on the campaign trails. I think McCain is running out of time, and I think mud slinging is a last ditch effot. The comment that Sarah Palin made about Obama palling around with terrorists was just assinine. Par for the course, and completely classless. I'm hoping Obama maintains his class and doesn't sling any mud back to McCain...assuming McCain even looks at him this time. The biggest thing on people's mind is the economy. And McCain's "attempt" we will say, to go help Congress w/ the bailout plan was totally the wrong move. I think McCain's erratic behavior & inability to really get anything done while he was there will be Obama's focus.

            mcain seemed very fragile and weak to me. obama was much more comfortable and confident IMO. mccain is the kind of guy that goes unnoticed in a room, not a born leader.

              I agree. And, supposedly it was the McCain's camp that pushed for the town hall style format. I think it only highlighted how feeble he is. Aside from the fact that McCain came off yet again as a total prick. I get that he doesn't like Obama. But, from a US government standpoint, they are basically on the same side. Can you imagine how he would treat a WORLD leader he didn't like?? McCain was so condescending and rude yet again to Obama, that's what I think has done him in. People don't give a shit!!! People want to know that they are going to be able to buy groceries this week! Obama was very presidential last night. McCain was petty and acted like a 4th grader.

                Exactly, I don't want to hear what someone voted for years ago, blah blah blah. I want to know how in the hell we are going to fix America. McCain went on the attack on about the second question, he couldn't even stay on track at first, he was going almost 2 min over every time. McCain is watching the race for president slip out of his hands. Obama acts more like a leader, yet I don't like him for president either, and Biden :dunno:.

                I believe Obama will win this race.

                  As the election gets closer and McCain continues these stupid and childish stunts, he is only getting further from a win. All he is doing is showing us how pro-Bush he is and how his plans differ very little from W's. I don't understand why his campaign didn't take some sort of different approach.

                  Obama isn't my first choice, either. It does make me more comfortable that he has Biden in there, though. The problem is that people are so fed up with the past 8 years, Mickey Mouse could've been the nominee, and probably won the election. People are dying for new leadership. The Republicans have had control from 1994-2006, so they are the ones to blame. The nomineee for the Republicans could've been Teddy Roosevelt, and I still don't think they would win.

                    I hope McCain wins...Something about Obama(besides the obvious politics)does not look good. I do think that McCain has got a bit out of hand.
