i would challenge that that seafood is the best, from everything i hear the bay is poluted as hell. If you are ever down in the sunshine state i"ll hook you up with the freshest and best seafood you ever ate.

been to florida about 20 times. Miami/Ft. lauderdale mostly. good shit there too, nice and fresh. thing about seafood in the MD area is the flavor and the way its cooked. crab cakes, fried oysters, soft shell crabs etc.. florida has the freshness but they dont have the flavors from what i have tasted.

Chesapeake bay seafood is the best. been to Baltimore harbor a few times. Camden yards etc..

Bay is HORRIBLE. I fished there a few times, and the fish you would get are weird looking. They're like diseased filled and smell like shit. So i stopped fishing there

New Orleans is by far the worst since Katrina. Just watched a special on it. They have what's called the "30 day murder" where if a criminal is not indicted w/in 30 days he can no longer be charged thus through intimidation the gang members would scare any witness' into silence and they would continue to kill in record numbers. Right after Katrina they averaged over 300 murders in 90 days!

I was stationed at the Navel Shipyard in New Orleans way back in the late 80's and there were more than murders per year than days in the year. I remember that clearly and there were parts on New Orleans that you simply did not go into and neither did the police. I was also stationed in Philly a couple of years before that and as bad as South Philly was I was never afraid to ride the bus thru it I would not even think of riding the bus through the projects in New Orleans. It does not sound like things have gotten better either.
