So, I don't know exactly how to start this story. Bouncer if you, or any mod, feels the need to move this to Self-Care that is fine. Today during training legs towards the end of the workout this trainer puked (blood) and passed out. It looked like he went into shock, etc. I believe he has heart problems and I think his heart stopped. For about 15 minutes everyone had him on his side to keep breathing okay. The paramedics got his hearts started again and he was taken to the hospital. His name was Mark, and for those of you who believe in it please pray for him. He's a great guy and has been very helpful and friendly to me.
This is the set up for what happened to me and please don't give me shit for turning this into a story about me. Today, as i stated, was a leg training day. Well this event occurred towards the end of my workout. I had one set left when someone alerted us to this. I was fine and finished my workout. I personally don't like being a gawker for this type of even because I think it is rude. If you have something to add, then you should be doing something about it. Either way I finished and decided to go get changed and ask my trainer what happened. Well, he was lying right where you have to get to the locker room, etc. I walked by and glanced and it wasn't pretty. I've never had a history of being queasy by seeing blood. Well about a minute after I walked by and saw him I started feeling really light headed.
So, I get light headed and my vision because, as the best I can describe it...like I stood up too fast and all the blood rushed out of it. Finally, my hearing became hollow and distant. I have experienced this once before, not while training. I was led to believe it was a panic attack. This lasted maybe 5 minutes. It got to the point where I don't remember about 10 seconds. I feel fine now, I just have a slight tightness in my forehead. So, I am concluding this had nothing to do with the workout because I was done the set for about 3 minutes when this occured. I believe it was a panic attack that was triggered by seeing him and certain things that have been going on in my life.
Anyway, the question / concern I pose to everyone is...Do you think this was training related or a panic attack? And which ever you believe it is how do you think this should / does affect my training?
Thanks
