You know how when you watch a game and one team gets off to a slow start. Well unless the other team starts playing bad, you put yourself in a hole essentially making you loose the game before it's over. You can't win the game in first half, because even if you run up a score in the beginning, you have to finish playing the game to win it.

So what does that have to do with Owens?

He doesn't play well and doesn't care to play well when coming from back from a difficult deficit. You hear all the time how the team needs to get him involved early. If a team doesn't get him involved early, he half asses all his routes for the rest of the game. If the balls not coming to him, it's pretty much advertised. He won't start playing hard again until the score gets back within reach of a win. I was watching an analysis on ESPN where a high percentage of his drops come either in the first quarter or when they are loosing. He's a player that will take his ball and go home if he isn't happy about the game.

This is a good move for the Bills IMO...they needed a 'show' to draw fans, and an instant infusion of offence. T.O. accomplishes both of those things.

I live within a resonable drive from Buffalo, but haven't bothered going to a game because they have had nothing but B-list talent in that lineup for years. I will go to a Bills game this fall though (in Toronto most likely)...they finally have a player worth watching.
