The most realistic solution the the "North Korea" problem is to ally with China. We differ socially with them, and condemn them for their manufacturing / working / living standards. That shit is getting old, because they provide the United States with cheap labor and cheap goods. So we condemn them, then look the other way. We have always had tensions because of it, but everyday we see workers gaining more and more rights. This process will not be completed over night.

China could be our greatest ally (Sorry Mr I, but its true) if we (US) could get off our high horse. China has already condemned North Koreas actions because, regardless of how they feel about the US, they have an understanding of free markets, and the reason the US doesn't just bomb everyone it dislikes. China is intelligent enough to know it has, and will have even more, international influence to exert and some of the responsibilities to world stability that come with that.

If we pleased China, by say easing our hounding of their working standards and allowing them more say in the IMF (if any), nothing would be lost in The United States. We would become greater friends and China would possibly out rightly start to condemn the actions of what is truly a rouge state. This would have to happen quickly, which it won't, and it would have to actually be feasible, which its not.

However, the point stands that Communism has never been the enemy of Capitalism it has been the balance to it. Government control is needed to oversee free markets. A free market balance will never be reached, so one country will always be *more* communist and another *more* capitalist. However, we look at things in distinct lines which requires us to side as humans with one choice. China is communists, controls its media, etc. However, the United States owns many of its large companies currently and is not letting go easily. We control what is on TV, maybe to less of an extent. We even have domestic spies watching everything I post (even if it is a computer algorithm). I have never been to china, so I don't know how much the government there influences their daily life, but government influence is everywhere here as well (Which is actually more socialism, but whatever I'm not that smart).

Sorry for the long winded response. It just makes so much sense of the US to work with China to shut that faggot Kim Jong Il up. Hes a real fucking piece of work, his people wouldn't be able to eat if it weren't for western nations, but he says WE are the threat!
    Good points well made.

Is it just me or do leaders become more radical, extreemist with age?

xIraq war was not necessary. There are dictators everywhere in the world and we don't go after them. We replaced a dictator with a party that hates half the country, that is part of the reason there are more terrorist attacks in the country now. We created a larger problem.

Bin Laden was the problem and we essentially let him get off. We had him narrowed down to a region of Afghanistan and now he is gone. It was our fault, if we get attacked again blame Cheney and his advanced security measures.

I thought long and hard before posting, because these are very controversial views:

I believe Iran and North Korea are two different situations. North Korea has no influence in the world and provides nothing to the world economy. Iran provides energy to many countries in the form of oil. North Korea has no real enemy to speak of that is overtly aggressive currently (Hopefully this will change). Iran has Israel, a country with Nukes who has said they WILL use them.

That being said, the middle eastern conflict is so much more complicated than North Korea (a country that just wants power).

Israel is at the heart of the hatred and mistrust in countries like Iran, Iraq, et all. Israel is the only country with advanced weapons and in many international aspects has over-reacted to events and is almost a rogue nation. You have to review Israels actions with an unbiased eye to even consider that possibility, but that never happens. That being said, President Achmedinajad has definitely overstepped his boundaries by calling for its destruction, rather than its alteration into a multi-religious country where everyone can worship.

Due to Israels overt actions and somewhat rogue behavior it is not unreasonable for countries around it to want weapons to defend themselves. Israel has made it justifiable for them to have fear. However, the route cause ends in the fact that Israel can no longer be a Jewish state because it is the homeland of most major western religions. This would require a drastic shift in policy though, and again, will never happen because the Jews would flip shit if the US ever pushed for that. The best we can do is pressure Israel to become a more open state or leave its side.
