That being said, I agree a lot of people are moving to LCD / Plasma TVs in place of tube tvs, but many people still have tube tvs.
ok, i admit i may have gone a little over board in yelling at you. :P.

speaking of plasma, that is a dieing technology, not dead but dieing.

LCD is killing plasma sales, the new LED LCD's are the final death blow to plasma. you wont be able to buy a plasma tv in 2 years. mark my words.

I use dvd's and cd's every day, my kids watch the occasional VHS, and I prefer to read a paper newspaper.

The board game thing is sad. Those types of things are dying because of family values - parents not taking the time or effort.

Pagers haven't gone away in the business/medical world because they don't "interfere" with equipment and they aren't a safety threat like a cell phone.

1ob·so·lete Listen to the pronunciation of 1obsolete
                            Pronunciation:
                            \ˌäb-sə-ˈlēt, ˈäb-sə-ˌ\
                            Function:
                            adjective
                            Etymology:
Latin obsoletus, from past participle of obsolescere to grow old, become disused, perhaps from ob- toward + solēre to be accustomed
                            Date:
                            1579

1 a: no longer in use or no longer useful <an obsolete word> b: of a kind or style no longer current : old-fashioned <an obsolete technology>

I think we should keep arguing :D

Between online maps and navigation systems I think maps are obsolete.

Phone books are obsolete because there are so many more free and easier ways to find an adress or phone number.

I would agree that cd's are obsolete and if not they are on the verge of it. For the same reason as Chris said and because most people would rather pay for the songs they want instead of the whole cd.

The newspaper is very close to being obsolete. Some top newspapers have already closed down and others have plans too at the end of the year.

Just because some idiot still thinks it's necessary to hand out phone books doesn't make it usefull. That point was proven by the fact that mine goes right in the trash and the multitudes of ones around bouncer haven't been touched.

I don't even get the non-believer comment, I will try and dumb myself down to figure it out. :agreed:
