Thanks for the ideas, guys! I forgot about Stubbs marrinade...I love that stuff. And the Rotisserie seasoning I used to get at Sams club was excellent...ran out a while ago and forgot about it.
Whoever it was that mentioned butter on steak is killing me! I don't use butter anymore but damn...this place up in the panhandle of FL had the most excellent steaks and they'd serve it with a scoop of garlic butter melting on top.
Charlies...I'm pretty sure I was there a few yrs ago when Stromba and I were in Orlando for business...if it's the place I'm thinking of they had fantastic food and the wait staff was very professional and on top of things. I've been to Ruth's Chris in St. Louis and Cancun and although the steak and sides were fantastic, I didn't care for the atmosphere, too stuffy for me. I don't care for Outback either...too much salt and other seasonings on their meat. My favorite cut is a del monico, lightly seasoned, cooked medium. The place in the panhandle is called McGuires, wonderful steaks at decent prices....and their sheapheards pie is fantastic too, casual atmosphere and friendly staff.
Mmmmmmmmmm....Ruth Chris! They have that butter topped steak that you speak of and it is sooooooooooo good. Their atmosphere is a bit stuffy, but they have some of the best steak I have ever had.
However, the best steak I ever had, absolutley had to be from "Cattleman's" in Texas. Wow! That place was incredible.
