    a cold air intake making you get a few extra HP is not the same as an engine running cold. You should be more concerned bout the rubber in the cold - give it 5-10 minutes to warm up well and you are fine.

          A engine runs better on cold dry air, more oxygen is densely packed into a smaller space, why nitrous does what it does, but most engines have optimum horsepower when they are running around 200-210 degrees.

            the best time to drive is not "cold" depending on what you mean by cold. there is a reason why racing season for any racing series is held in spring, summer, fall. tires sticking to the road etc..

            perfect driving weather is not cold weather.

                Agreed I was just talking about when a engine makes the most HP.

                Im tellin you next year you should go to the Englishtown NJ, Drag Races some sick Cars/Bikes there. I go on the practice day so it is not crowded and you can go in the pits and watch them working on all the cars up close.

                  it all comes together at around 70 degrees no humidity. track temp around 85. perfect.
