a cold air intake making you get a few extra HP is not the same as an engine running cold. You should be more concerned bout the rubber in the cold - give it 5-10 minutes to warm up well and you are fine.

we are talking about an engine losing performance in extreme heat 90's-100 with humidity or extreme cold 10's-30's etc. the sweet spot for an engine is the 50's - 60's - 70's low humidity.

READ OVER AND OVER UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND. YOU WOULD HAVE UNDERSTOOD IF YOU HAD PAID ATTENTION.

A engine runs better on cold dry air, more oxygen is densely packed into a smaller space, why nitrous does what it does, but most engines have optimum horsepower when they are running around 200-210 degrees.

the best time to drive is not "cold" depending on what you mean by cold. there is a reason why racing season for any racing series is held in spring, summer, fall. tires sticking to the road etc..

Im tellin you next year you should go to the Englishtown NJ, Drag Races some sick Cars/Bikes there. I go on the practice day so it is not crowded and you can go in the pits and watch them working on all the cars up close.

Now you're talking two different things here; driving and performance...Yes, warmer weather is better for tires....But for performance of an engine, cooler weather is better....

im really talking about all around car performance. the best time to run a car. after all, it dosent really matter if the best time for an engine is -300 degrees when the rest of the car cant move. lol

it all comes together at around 70 degrees no humidity. track temp around 85. perfect.
