True which is why Vista is a terrible OS. But by difference you mean just looks and interface. Background wise, Windows 7 is much more superior to Vista, but both fail in comparison to XP and the years it took them to get it 99% effective.

no, no reason to go back to vista when you have windows 7. its a tweaked version of vista and there for its better.

just saying that if you have vista sp1 on your computer now there is no reason to run and get 7.

By interface i am referring to usability with servers and ftp's and such. With 7 I am told you can use this stuff just like with XP.

dual core processor, 4 gigs of ram, etc.. vista sp1 is faster on this computer then XP was on the other computer.

so if i dont need the speed increase and vista sp1 works perfect for me why jump to 7? i will keep this notebook for 3-4 years and then change over.
