"Our list comes from real estate statistics provided by Altos Research, a national real estate data collection and research firm that tracks over 15,000 ZIP codes, amounting to about 90% of all real estate transactions. Home prices are based on the asking price for combined single-family and multiple-family markets. ZIPs were ranked according to the median home price."

      OK OK whatever

I'll make it simple for ya LOL! the study is based on asking prices so its bunk right from the get go!

If I ask $14,000,000 for my house does that mean its worth that? NOPE
If I sell my house for $14,000,000 does that mean its worth that? YES

we can talk in circles all day. forbes has ranked alpine nj #1 most expensive zip code. they came to that conclusion the same way they did when they said the east village was #1 or Beverly hills or Palm beach. so you can rant all you like just like the rest of the tools that cant accept jersey (the state hated by americans and apparently the British too) to have the nations most expensive area codes.

Even if we were talking genuine sale figures instead of asking prices I'd say they were probably a false economy anyway driven by all the laundering and home loan fraud that goes on around those parts. Everythings bent, the realtors, the legals, the financiers lol!

But I'd still love to live there New jersey is cool, yeah I know I'd get killed since I'm a gay Brit:thumup:

I accept your word that the sale prices are the highest also then. But to me that sounds warning bells even more on why and how they got that way:agreed:

yeah but these journalists often get tongue tied when it comes to property and spit out words wrong, sale price isn't neccassarily price paid, sale price isn't sold price either its sale as in for sale. Keep concentrating big fella:rofl:

Like I said though I take your word on it though:agreed:

Just suprised my real estate in the Hamptons isn't above it:whistle
