I find that hard to believe unless the Corvette had some type of problems but I'll take your word on it. And why would a Corvette be at a Import and Tuners race? It is neither. That in fact could be the problem right there.

I don't know you may be right. I have the original clips on my external, I need to double check. There was a Twin turbo C6 there however. I remember it because the announcer made a big deal out of it. It ran nicely, but not as fast as the civic.
