i would do it a little different.

pull the guy aside and tell him dont do it again. but not in an upset kind of way. in a calm and confident kind of way.

something like, "do me a favor and dont say shit like that again". smile and walk away. he wont know what to make of it.

Well I agree with B and say something just that it wasn't cool and don't let it happen again.

Acknowledging stupidity only encourages it. Ignoring it makes it go away (from you at least)

Not always. I have had to tell people time and time again to cut the stupid shit so it finally went away. Can't ignore them all.

I just felt from the past interactions he had with the guy this was done on purpose, I would do that if it was something that seemed on accident but, to me it seemed like this guy did it on purpose to push buttons.

Acknowledging that you don't want him to say it again only tells him you have a reason for him not to. Just ammo no matter how small.

i agree that you cant always let someone walk on you. but you have to do it the right way. you have to make them feel weak when you call them on it.

even when someone is trying to impress you with something. i never give anyone the satisfaction of paying any attention to them. pretty soon they will be chasing you around trying to impress you. by that point "the power" has switched from them to you. you become superior.
:agreed: That's good advice to become greatness right there.

When I first meet people I won't shake their hand, I say I'll shake your hand after I decide if I like you.

lol, well im not sure thats the same thing. not shaking hands is kind of a rude thing.

im talking about a quite confidence. a little bit of arrogance even.

watch pumping iron and pay attention to how arnold interacts with people. he is better then everyone even when he isnt.

Ok, in a multiple occasion instance where it's avoidable then some adult conversation I agree with. But I would only talk in general terms about them being stupid and not the specifics.
