I am thinking about crippiling a co-worker

i would do it a little different.

pull the guy aside and tell him dont do it again. but not in an upset kind of way. in a calm and confident kind of way.

something like, "do me a favor and dont say shit like that again". smile and walk away. he wont know what to make of it.

Not always. I have had to tell people time and time again to cut the stupid shit so it finally went away. Can't ignore them all.

I just felt from the past interactions he had with the guy this was done on purpose, I would do that if it was something that seemed on accident but, to me it seemed like this guy did it on purpose to push buttons.

this is something that very few people can understand.

even when someone is trying to impress you with something. i never give anyone the satisfaction of paying any attention to them. pretty soon they will be chasing you around trying to impress you. by that point "the power" has switched from them to you. you become superior.

Ok, in a multiple occasion instance where it's avoidable then some adult conversation I agree with. But I would only talk in general terms about them being stupid and not the specifics.
