A well documented way to look at the difference recessive and dominant genes can play a role in current color is to look at eye color.

Even though races may be relatively close, the environment is not. What genetic characteristics were stimulated versus which ones lie dormant is about nature and nurture.
          Shibbs,

          1) the oldest human remains have been found in Africa, I think I heard.

But land used to be more connected and sea levels lower in parts which along with volcanic activity and earth plate movement generally means that there are more islands now than before and more isolated if it wasn't for boats, planes etc.

2)Notwithstanding that deeper digging might find bones in England or wherever, does that mean the first people found were African ?

thats just a general answer that doesn't answer anything. lol

thats what i wanted the discussion to be about. what makes some skin brown, some white, some black, etc..

You don't have a clear question. The answer to this one would be melanin...

natural selection is the answer, three thousand years ago people didn't have factor fifty, your whites woulda got skin cancer pretty quick in africa and died out, but as they migrated to softer climates those whites survived and presumably began to dominate those areas. Its a bit like comparing Neanderthal to homosapien man.

did you not start a thread asking for a fucking topic of conversation? i gave you a topic and you proceeded to do a little dance of bull shit.

i wanted to discuss why exactly we have so many colors. what is it in the environments that does this etc..

but you want to play your fucken game of go around in circles. fuck you.

i dont believe its a simple factor of the sun making you very dark. why are the native tribes in south america that get the same amount of sun more brown in color then black like you get in africa?

but thank you for engaging in the conversation and talking about the topic instead of playing scrabble with words like shibby the douch bag.

Look, you can get all upset over nothing, but until you show that you have any kind of basic knowledge on the subject, how the hell do i know where to start.

You have a very broad incomplete question. I am trying to find a point to start and you are getting all bitchy and whiny with me because you don't have a clue what you are asking.

You keeps saying what you don't think it is. How about you talk about what it is you think instead of talking about what you don't think it is.

I think originally, it WAS all about your environment, where you lived in relation to the equator, etc. Not so much anymore, we've adapted and have every color living everywhere. If people originated in Africa, then yes, they were darker - but as they migrated, they lost color.
