The heart is a fragile thing bro. I work in a shitty place with some callous motherfuckers that would just as soon shoot you in the head and then go play with a puppy, who have become complete sobbing , blubbering, basketcases when it comes to their women and family. Putting yourself all out there in any relationship is a risk and when it doesn't work out it can be rough. I can tell you I have crashed and burned myself.

The thing to remember is that no matter how shitty you are feeling is that you have to believe in yourself. The sun still rises and sets, and your value as a person and a father isn't diminished because of this person that took a shit on you. Focus on yourself, and your kids, find your center through them and the rest, although slowly will fall into place.

I will say this in regards to the jail issue. Don't play that game, and fall into that reactionary bullshit. In this country the guy gets the shaft when it comes to domestic situations and it can be far reaching..think parenting plan, visitation etc. Pick a neutral spot for visitation, discuss only issues regarding your children on pickups and drop offs and dont give her the reaction she is looking for. That and your kids are going to see you as the grounded, calm, and reliable one. Its a rough road and I feel for you. But things will get better mano.--FI

Well, its been pretty rough! Like most of you know I found out about that other guy and stayed a few nights in jail a couple weeks ago. Well, since then I have not contacted her at all. But she did text me on New Years Eve and my dumb ass called her back. Then she was just a bitch on the phone so I just hung up. So like I said its been very rough on me. Alot of new routines to get used to. But I did start seeing a therapist, and its hard for me to say this because it seams so unreal but after the first visit I felt 100% better. She made me realize that everything I was feeling was normal and actually healthy for me. She gave me her thoughts on why my wife does the things she does and why she treated me the way she did. I go to court tomorrow for the bullshit I did. I just want to get the legal stuff behind me and move on with my life. My daughter and I have actually gotten super tight though this. We were always close but she always asks to stay with me extra nights and shit. So, I feel very good!!

As in, look on the bright side ? Make lemonades - etc ??? Read the rest of what I said, Frank's been saying things have been rocky for awhile now, it's gonna be tough now, yeah, but things COULD be worse - just trying to be realistic about it. I'm not saying "you could be starving and without water" just his situation didn't sound healthy and while this is a shock to him now and will take to adjust , counting the blessings and continuing forward is the best advice I know. As stated I'm not married nor do I have kids , this is just general common sense and support bro.

Be safe dog - you're a good guy and I'm sure you will make it through this. A lot of others have offered who have more experience in this area, but if you want to shoot me a PM and vent shit out, talk whatever, I'm around bro.

Don't go out and get drunk loads, or do things that will leave you pissed off, be healthy, get your rest, work, do the gym and maybe pick up a weekend hobby, don't they have crappy league baseball over there,I'd love to do that, just get yourself some outside interest, don't become a drip or I'll come over there and hit you with a wet fish. Your bound to be a lil slow and down for a bit but in good time you have a responsibility to yourself to pick up and get on with it all, life is for having fun mate, don't dwell on past, be the fun guy that the kids can't wait to see
    Good post bro!
