and you think i will gain 10 hp just from this? so that would make the 370 around 345HP.

And yes you'll gain some HP but it might not be 10 though. And did you see the link I posted for the exhaust?

    • im not changing the damn exhaust!!

      to much work.

i am just going to replace it with a performance drop in filter. they dyno'd a 370 with just the drop in filter and it gave the car 10 more WHP. good enough for me!

          • lol poor bouncer is lost. To drop in a filter will take 20min max. Doesn't require much work. If you were dropping in cold air intakes, that will require removal of the bumper and probably a wheel. On my cousins G35, we had to remove the bumper and take off the front left wheel for that.

On my jetta, it requires the battery to be removed and the front bumper to be taken off.

            • Its 10hp at the crank, not wheels. I am sure your Z gets around 230-235whp

Drop in filter will make a difference but you won't notice it much plus you wont' have the sound with the drop in.

Your cousin must've install the long tubes if you the short tube you don't have to take out the bumper.

Yes the dyno does, but than again there are different types of dyno's. People will always debate which type of dyno is better than the other.

When your Z came out the factory, all the hp and torque specs are at the crank, to actually see how your car is doing, you have to dyno it. Any type of bolt on will make your car whp be different. Every car is different

why will it take that long? isnt it just pulling out an old filter and replacing it?

yea so they tested the car with the drop in filter in and out and it gave the car 10 more WHP. so i was right in what i was saying.

few people were saying that it does make the engine sound slightly more grunty. i dunno if its true or not. they also say to take out the carbon filter because it is not needed with the performance filter and it lets more air in.
