I know it varies for some from time to time, but the primary reason is. Myself, I am one vain bastard

NOt necessarily. Some people like the small lean look, something like a fitness model for males. They aren't big, just lean

I think size includes looks. Looks doesn't necessarily require size.

Hard to answer that question man. For me its a list of factors. Main reason was to get in shape, I already hit that goal a few years back, so now I do it to put on size.

I was picked on a lot as a kid, so putting on size and reaching to where I am now, makes me better than those tools. A lot of them that were assholes to me, want to be my friends now, i just tell ignore them and go on about my business.

After i met this natural guy that competes in the 202, i was hooked. I wanted to look like him. Now i understand whats going on what I need to do.

As embarrassing as this sounds. All my life i was never able to do a push up nor pull up. My senior year of high school is when I started getting serious and lifting, after that i was able to do push ups. Today I can rep over 30 and not break a sweat. Than slowly i started doing pull ups, and freshman year of college i was walked in lean and mean, lol. All my friends were shocked that in 3 months i shedded 10lbs and i was at 200lbs. I was more vascular, skinner, and stronger. Waist went from a 36 to 34, stomach got smaller, veins started popping, and definition started. One big thing i noticed was strength, I was like holy shit. I felt so much stronger. I guess i lost a lot of at and gained muscle.

Every once in a while I have to look back to see how far I came. Yesterday, i was shrugging 260lbs with the hex bar. I felt weak until my friend came by. He is 6' 3 around 180lbs. I was like go ahead and shrug it. He couldn't even get it off the ground, after about 3 try's he got about an inch off before giving up. That right there hit me. I have came so far and I still think to myself that I gained nothing. I still look in the mirror and see that fat overweight kid from high school getting picked on. I will never have that image out of my head until i start making new images. That day will be when I am 250lbs and ripped to shreds. Until than i am a fat ass that can't lose weight.

when i say look i mean big and lean.

but if i had to choose i would say big and a little over weight. tiny is never good.
