Mouse Print»Blog Archive » KFC Pink Bucket Promo: 50 Cents Donated per Bucket Sold?

Do you ever check for thorns before picking up a rose? People love to bitch about things when it's easy to take the side of the disgruntle. But to actually care about something in whole and not just say, "huh, looks good to me, who cares what the negatives are" is truly genuine and not just pretending to care about something so you can create a false image to those around you. Our whole world has got to it's current state because of that half ass mindset. No wonder history repeats itself. Most don't really care about those around them. They only care enough to feel guilt free and get to sleep at night. Fucking pathetic.

Now it all makes perfect sense.

KFC should say fuck it and keep all the money.

      Thanks.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Of course the Komen foundation getting the money is a good thing. As of now, all the money that is going to be donated has been. Now it's just about the franchises making some of their money back. As of May 10th, purchasing a pink bucket does nothing for the Komen foundation. But the promotion run until the end of May :wack:

If you were going to buy KFC anyways, it didn't really matter what the promotion was. As of May 10th, if you were enticed to buy KFC to support the campaign, you obviously would be much more helpful to donate directly to the foundation.

So the Komen foundation get a lot of money. Good. So KFC should be let off the hook for all the deception? Letting things slide because of face value is how so much money got lost with 9/11 and Katrina donations. What ever happen to that? My guess is most don't think about it because caring no longer improves the false imagine that is trying to be portrayed. All the higher powers know this is how the majority of people work. Give it enough time, people will stop caring because caring takes real effort and not just smoke and mirrors.

and in this case you are that "disgruntle".

shibby its business. a company's sole purpose is to be profitable. a good image always helps.

in this case KFC is using breast cancer as that stepping stone. BUT once again, at the end of the day, they are giving a lot of money towards breast cancer that they would not have had other wise.

The word you are looking for is "exploit".

A drug dealer/crime boss can control a city. At the end of the day he is creating jobs for people with families who other wise would not have a job.

Or, more likely you don't know who I am. You want to know how wrong you are? Fine, I'll tell you a little about me

I've sponsored a kid in a school jump rope fundraiser partnered with the American Heart Association. Volunteered helping with a March of Dimes fund raiser. Volunteered to help promote and set up a special olympics games. Participated in a christmas fundraiser for Make a Wish, where I donated stuff to a raffle auction as well as volunteered with helping organize the function... Also monetary donations to numerous charities like the Komen foundation, Shriners, children's cancer research through Penn State, many smaller local fund raisers... I am by no means wealthy, but it doesn't stop me from truly caring.

wow, you have done a lot for charity. makes it even more confusing why you would knock KFC for giving money to charity.

maybe you were doing it for your own personal gain? maybe you wanted to make yourself look good in your neighborhood. maybe you were trying to help yourself sleep better at night..

                          see what I mean?

Yea, that's why I didn't talk about it until now. Because it was all about me. Welcome to idiotville. :) the whole reason I didn't bring it up in the first place is because it isn't about me. I do it because I enjoy helping and I don't take the things I have for granted. If it was simply about my image I wouldn't care how the noney came to be either, as long as I look good.
