                  Yup, believe it. We watched videos similar to this in Physics and talked about why it did this. Its all based on Newtons 3rd Law.

                        Newtons 3rd Law is based on Action and Reaction. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

                        When you have a wall and an object traveling at 100mph and it hits it, the wall exerts a force on the object to the have it moving in the opposite direction. The whole objects flattens out in a fraction of a second before it moves in the opposite direction. Same thing happens when you hit a tennis ball with a tennis racket.
