Is there a correlation wetween the civil war and independence day, I mean in terms of who was involved eg which side were the english decendents on in the civil war?

  • #2
July 4th was the day we signed the declaration of independence, saying we would be free from British rule. which started the revolutionary war. ( U.S. vs. Brtish. the civil war was long after this, and was america vs. america. ( north vs. south)

The American civil war was almost 100 years after we declared independence from you British cunts.

In terms of who's side the English decendents were on, the question itself is a bit off. The English decendents as you know were spread out across.. they were america. North, south, east west. They were not "English decendents" so to speak but rather Americans that differed in opinion because of where they grew up in America.. the north or the south..

no sir . the declaration of independence which was approved on july 4th 1776 is the date in which the founding fathers being thomas jefferson, ben franklin, john adams, roger sherman and robert livingston to name a few declared no further allegiance to great britain. where as the civil war 1861-1865 was a confict dealing with a number of internal issues between the north and the south namely states rights for the south and federalism for the north, and yes the slave issue was a major debating point that added to the turmoil .

yes, he understands that. you guys arent getting his question.

he is in effect asking which side the British descendants were on in the civil war. as i said above, the question itself is flawed because they werent on a side so to speak. they were america.. they were the issue.. it was there beliefs..

he acts like it was a bunch of brits sitting on the sideline watching us americans fight and they said to themselves "hmm which side should i join". lmao

Hey if you don't know that's fine, don't get your fat folds all sweaty about it. Don't say silly things like what ethnic descent is irrelevent because its completely relevent. Tell an american of irish descent their gamilies origins don't matter, or an italian descent american etc. So does anyone know what the ethnicity of the two armies were?

nobody is saying anything about ethnic culture. this is a matter of what America was at the time. "English descendants" lived in both the north and the south. Those English descendants that grew up in the south would have been on the side of the south. The English descendants that grew up in the north would have been on the side of the north. The country of their ancestors origin had very little to do with anything.

bro, lol. we are talking about "British descendants" that had been here for hundreds of years. we are not talking about whos side the country of great britain was on.

the very question shows your lack of understanding the war and to be honest America itself.

these "British descendants" were on both sides because they were all over america.. they were america. if they were raised in the south and had plantations and cotton businesses they would have sided with the south because it was their way of life.

Just to put it into perspective and keep it simple.

If war broke out in America between the north and the south right now. I would be on the side of the North because this is where I was born and raised. Me siding with the North has absolutely nothing to do with my Italian ancestry.
