You can use the grub x even if you dont have them. Go to scotts.com and do a little research.

you will see brown patches in your lawn ... be careful not to over do it with the fertilizer you dont want to burn up your grass .... do know that once you start fertilizing grass grows quick and becomes a pain in the ass once you have to start mowing twice a week

Yea we bought the house. It's our first. I didn't talk about it before because we got an FHA loan and I wasn't going to believe we got all approved for the house until I had keys in my hand :)

The whole yard is fenced in with that chain link fence. The big back yard was a huge selling point for us. Having two youngins it really makes a house feel like home. You can see about 3/4 of the back yard in the pic. The front your is about 3/4 the size of what you can see in the pic. I don't have the sq. footage of the house. They don't list that since taxes are done by lot size. This is the lot size and the house takes up around 1.3 of it: 78x175x155x261. Pass the fence is about 20 yards of some trees and then a creek. On the other side of the creek is about another 20 yards of trees and then another neighborhood.

I'm not really a DIY kind of guy, but I'm learning. The house was remolded some within the last 5 years, so there isn't really much that's needed except personalizing it. Get the yard the way I want it, change the paint on the walls (the color is decent, but not us), modernize a few things like counter tops or what ever (it was a 60s-70s old year couple that owned the house

                  cool cool.

im not much of a DIY guy either but little things working on your own house can be pretty fun weekend projects.

i dont see any pics bro. might want to host them on a image site like imgur: the simple image sharer and then post the links if they were to big to host here.

This is good advice; use a 'weed and feed' product that has the fert and the selective herbicide chems. And you should do the lawn pest control too; not only do grubs damage the lawn, but moles come to feed on them, and they REALLY damage the lawn. A grub killing product that also controls cinch bugs would be even better.

Doing it yourself is the best way to go; buy yourself a broadcast spreader for about 40 bucks, as you'll be using it two or three times a year every year.
