right. but some people who have jobs also make time to cook healthy at home instead of going out to eat as well.

Musclemaker is not "fast food" in the mold of McD or Burger King. The food takes slightly longer for it is not pre-made and held under heat lamps. I think the speed factor plays a large part

You are correct. It is possible to not be home and still eat healthy. Between work, school, library, and community service, I am always on the go. A cooler and 99 cents worth of ice and I'm good to go for the day

Really? What about consultants who are always on the road, away from home? Living in hotels?

what makes you think that people that are on the road that often are concerned with finding a healthy meal every meal of the day, let alone hit the gym regularly?

you just love trying to contradict everyone which is really annoying. you're like my little brother that needs a smack upside the head.

Why wouldn't they be? I'm a consultant and I'm on the road for weeks at a time, different cities. I'm also very health conscience and run my own blog about healthy eating on the go (and I'm constantly in hotel gyms and I do p90x in my hotel rooms with my laptop. How in the world can you sit there and say that people who travel and consult for a living aren't concerned with finding a healthy meal when I'm actually living that life right now and you are sitting at home in your parents house?

If your read my post without immediately jumping to a judgment, I said it is possible. I did not say everyone could.

Being on the road is tough. But at chain restaurants you can always create a healthy meal (grilled chicken, veggies), albeit high in sodium. So while you may not be able to cook, there are ways to manage.

As for the working out, I would try to find one guess passes to local gyms. Tell them you just moved to the area and are thinking about joining the gym. Often they will be happy to oblige

Didn't mean to start any drama. This is like an episode of Jersey Shore without JWoww.

Anyway, you guys bring up some good points. I really don't think finding a customer base would be an issue in my town. (depending on the location.) Biggest issues would be the speed of making "fresh" food like that and the cost of fresh food being a bit higher, which I would need to pass on to the customer. That in itself will just turn it into more of a regular restaraunt. At that point my "healthy food in a hurry" niche is gone.

I'm still thinking about a few things. I am very good friends with the family that owns 7 GNC stores in my town, which would make for a good partnership. (Trading free advertising)

i think that you're right about the healthy fast food place becoming a regular restaurant. the biggest problem with cooking healthy food is that it really does take time to cook and prepare.

something else to consider is where your location would be in relation to a gym or health club. the closer the better. people coming out of the gym and going to work would be more likely to stop at your place real quick for a lunch.

You still manage to eat healthy while being on the road.

I also live at home and a full time college student. I nail every meal on time and hit the gym 6 days a week.

I actually have my own blog and my own site and I put it in my intro thread and you took it down for understood reasons. I do more with my life and have more to offer to this site than these pieces of shit living at home while criticizing others. Sometimes people need to be put in their place. I view it as constructive criticism. Mofo is now probably thinking to herself "damn, I need to do something with my life".
