Hate it. 10x uglier than the 06, 07 STIs (which I didnt think was possible) and not even close to as nice as the EVO X. It looks more like a Chevy Cavalier with a ridiculously big spoiler.

i have always thought they looked like a little kids ricer.

its not about that though, its about what it can do. its a technical wonder that car. a computer on wheels.

True. Great driving vehicle. But when Mitsubishi has created an equally amazing performer that actually looks tasteful... at least a little effort could be put into the looks. I think it will be the lowest selling generation STI in their history.

agreed. i would never buy a car that looks like that.

i do respect it for its ability though.

B remember when they tested the STI and the EVO on Top Gear? Which one did Clarkson like better I don't remember.

Pretty sure the EVO came out on top of every category. Styling, interior quality, and performance were all EVO hands down. I think they did some kind of rally simulation where they had manikins lined up beside the track and they were taking high speed turns seeing how close they could get to them. EVO was consistently inches away and STI was either 2 feet away or mowing them down.

Yea, the EVO destroyed the impreza in that comparison.

My STI looked the best, esp around the telephone pole, beautiful piece of FWD shit - get the sway bars you'll need em in those - EVOs > STi anyday of the week.

meh.... the rear is ugly. Front looks good, specs look good, and exterior looks good.

I wouldn't mind getting one. Over time you can dump more money into a STi and have it perform better than a modded EVO. Plus, it will last longer depending on what mods are done to both.

maybe for 1/4 mile - for any tracks esp rally since thats what we are talking about - I promise you the EVO will last longer. The boxer engine may LAST forever - but it decreases in it's own ability to perform at top of it's game quickly me and my boy who got one found bro. Now maybe things have changed but I always would go EVO man.

Yes quarter mile and track racing. No rally bro. Once you mod EVO motors I hear they fuck up real quick and die. Not sure about the newer ones, but the older ones yes.

The problem I have with STi's are that they're simple ECU's. You can't expect to slap on a turboback and a cold air intake expecting to give you power. You have to tune those to work properly. If you don't you have cylinder number 4 misfire and if you don't take care of that, it will blow the motor. Fuckin bullshit.

Get a VW. All those ECU's are smart ECU. They adapt to your driving and when modded they adapt to the mods withing 50 miles.

I wonder if dicking around with my ecutek is what screwed my engine  - I probably just killed the damn thing LoL :D - I did have it completely tuned custom and it may well have not been running things right.

Anyway , I don't get to drive anything but like normal wrx's modded now , once in awhile an evo8 - which have been a blast, when I am up at the rally spot. Someday would be fun to be able to do more, best type of racing I've found by far.
