there was a moment in the show that was really telling about how big the issue is and about how its not just about giving them things.

tony and the crew were eating and all these people were just watching them eat. they decided to buy out the lady making the food and serve all the people the rest of the food they had. they thought they were doing a good thing but it turned into a fucken mess, people fighting, whipping each other with belts etc...

i can imagine its exactly the same thing on a much larger scale. the world helps them and everyone just grabs every fucken thing they can for themselves and trys to sell the rest.

its amazing to think that 10,000 years ago, the Egyptians were far more advanced then modern day Haitians. at some point you have to consider if these people really are the same species as the greeks, the romans, egyptions, etc...

The 'food from the heart' incident is why I said it sounds realistic.

The last account I read is that 72% of funds sent for aid is unaccounted for yet we still keep sending it in some form or fashion.

and the bottom line is, had these people built these buildings up to any kind of code the devastation would have been cut by like 75%.

listen i feel for the people but they have always been in poverty, they continue to make the same mistakes, and its hard to believe they will be anything else but what they are today.
