The 3rd world is full of Christian missionaries trying to convert the heathens. If Christianity is such a tolerant religion, why are they going around trying to pay poor Hindus and Muslims in India and other places to convert to Christianity? Why can't they just let them be?

wherever there is religious freedom, the opportunity to look beyond religion exists. when religion is the main driver in a country, specifically its laws, obviously there will be some sort of hatred towards the "inferior" religion.

missionaries exist everywhere. some are just more up-front than others. there are definitely muslim missionaries as well as christian ones. the only difference is that muslim missionaries don't go looking for people to convert, they lure them in with talks of God and the upsides to being a muslim.
