I have to admit, that Ipad2 would be great for travelling; much better than lugging a netbook.

No need if you get the wifi version. More and more places are rolling out available free wifi.

I didn't buy it. Xmas gift this past year. If it was up to me I was going to wait until this one came out.

Wifi only. The ipad is great. I am on mine a lot more then my desktop.

They are simple, and that makes them perfect for the role they play. Love the Smart case on the new one, but I will be waiting until the 3.

I watch more video on my 10" iPad then on my 46" tv.

i might buy one before the year's end. i'm just disappointed that apple pretty much nixed their education discount. about 2 years ago there was a discount available for everything (software, hardware, accessories) if you were a student or government employee. now it's only on their laptops and some of their ipod models.
