I wouldn't bother with it if AT&T would give us the unlock code for the phone after 90 days of a 2 year contract, like it does with every other phone. In fact, they refuse to give the unlock code for the iPhone even after the contract is over and the phone is technically the property of the subscriber with no strings attached. That's just plain wrong. Also, if they would allow tethering without charging an arm and a leg for it... but AT&T wants to gouge the customers for every last nickel, so JB has done well for me.

The OS update on the 11th will allow tethering(3 devices), but if you are JB you are past that problem.

Free tethering? I thought AT&T charged for tethering? By JB'ing, you can buy an app for $15 and have free tethering after that.

It does on Cydia. But Pdanet only gives you 30 min of free tethering. After that, you have to buy the app. Which is fine - the app is $15 for a lifetime license. I think AT&T charges that a month for tethering.
