i worked with one of the leading researchers in the addictions field for a semester and focused a lot on smoking cessation. either/or will help a lot but you need to be in the right mindset. you can't expect the gum or patches to do the magic on their own. one thing i noticed is that people who were on the verge of going back would always get a substitute. one girl i know started chewing caramel candy when her temptations got bad.
keep your head in the right place and don't give in to temptation! good luck!
Agreed when you're done you're done. For a few years I got up to about a pack so I know it's tough but you literally feel better by the day after quitting. Just quit cold turkey. Well then again, I never quit smoking chronic. Actually I chain smoke weed all day so don't listen to me. (Cigarettes are easy to quit tho. Mental).
