I would say two weeks is standard - at least until you've been there a good amount a time.

Sick days = when you're sick

Personal days = need off for an appointment, kids function, etc

What if your sick more than a week, and what are personal days?

Sick days set aside for when you are "sick" however you can really use them like personal days. If you are sick more than 3-5 days temporary disability kicks in and covers you up to 3 months at 100% pay then it drops down to 60% for up to a year. After that it becomes permanent disability and I don't know much about it.

My lady works for an american company, she's over there sometimes, plenty opportunity if we wanted to. I get 27 days holiday, all bank and public holidays, 36 hr week and if I work over which happens all the time then I can build up TOIL time off in lieu.

With this I can get am extra two days a month off.

If I get sick I get six months full pay.

My pension is guaranteed final salary %.

Terms just seem very harsh over there.
