Is that mainly why you're going with Mac - because of its life expectancy, etc?

Good history with their products is my main reason.

I wouldn't be in thr market for a laptop if I wasn't going back to school. My main concern is it making and completing the 4 year journey. I have had better history with mac in reliability. I do however really like and enjoy win 7.

I think both systems have pros/cons on the OS level, but have always felt that my mac laptops were better built then my windows laptops.

After all my research, I ended up with a MacBook Pro. Yes, they're expensive, but if it'll save me from buying another laptop in 2 years, it'll be okay. So far I love it, but it's definitely different. :)

I wont lie, but I think once it's done, it's done. This is my third laptop in 5 years. I'd like to think this one will be a little more reliable than the others. Mac wins everything in reviews, and to be honest, the second placers are well over $1000 - upwards toward the same price, actually.

You're such an ass when someone goes "against" you, lol. You already said the product is good, just overpriced. I 100% agree it is WAY overpriced. But I will also admit I like all the Apple products.

Don't know anyone who didn't like using Apple products, overpriced as they may be. Their product design is impeccable. I have some insight into what goes on at Cupertino and believe me, they agonize over the most seemingly trivial of details to ensure a highly satisfying user experience. Enjoy your new laptop, FB!
