That all depends on the chain of command to be honest. Oddly, I spent more time in the field than most combat units. When we weren't training for our own missions, we were supporting 2ID or the cav units. Overseas I spent 15 out of 18 months sleeping on a cot on some remote mountain top chowing on 3 year expired mre's. lol
