Interesting water coloration. The yellowish water on the right is due to sediments from the Fraser river. The blue water on the left is the open ocean.
Bald Eagle perched on a tree. We saw lots of bald eagles, close to a dozen. Unfortunately, I didn't have an SLR with a zoom lens, so this sorry picture is all my pocket camera could manage lol... You can see the eagle sitting on top of the leafless tree in the foreground.
Finally, we got to the orca. We saw orca from both the J and K pods that hang around in that area. Here is one passing real close to our boat, probably less than 50 feet away. It was awesome. My camera shutter was too slow to capture a better picture.
After the orca watching, our boat dropped us off at Victoria, the provincial capital. It is a really pretty city with lots of very English-looking buildings. Here are some pictures of the downtown area.
