London so far has handled the mess that is the Olympics flawlessly. Beautiful venues etc.. I was watching the white water rafting or whatever its called and they have a fucken purpose built river with rapids and shit! all the courts and arenas look great.

only thing that sucks is the outdoor vollyball, so god damn cold there it freezes the players feet in the sand and all the girls have to cover up. lame
we just got yet another gold medal in cycling and broke the wr with it, with jessica ennis likely to get a gold after her 800m run.

Do you take back your earlier comments and now realise what a force we are in sports Bouncer, on a population basis we are scalping everyone!

Just watched Mexico beat Senegal 4-2 in overtime. Next is Japan. Should be a good one.

I agree with everything you said, he is amazing. the only criticism i have is that its clear he didn't train as hard leading up to these Olympics as he did for the 2008 Olympics. he even said so in the interviews. he is more laid back. he didn't start out this Olympics as well and didn't even get on the podium for one race.

all that said, he is the most decorated Olympian ever so he can do what the hell he wants. lol. just would have liked to seen him go out with even more gold!

I think Phelps is just that good. There are some amazing athletes out there, and I'm sure plenty more that just go unseen. However, you can not take anything from Michael. He is raw talent when it comes to swimming.

Have you been watching Missy Franklin? She's only 16, and competing in numerous events, even swimming two races less than 10 mins apart. Another amazing athlete.

Phelps has been incredible and did you see the 15 year girl take gold:thumup:

Only thing I wonder with Phelps is although its a spectacle that he has so many golds, if he'd retured before the games and the coaches attention was towards newer talent then someone else mighta got gold, probably woulda, or don't you have any young talent coming through.

I agree with most of that. The cyclist wrecking on purpose was ridiculous, but it seems that it is common just most people don't verbally admit to crashing on purpose.
