Me too. Visited when I was 20 or 21. I don't remember most of my trip there but I had a blast! lol

I've flown into Schiphol 7or 8 times but never actually made it into the city more than to catch a train out of there lol... Got to stop for a bit next time.

You really do need to take a trip in to the city. Everything is just so relaxed and seemingly perfect. I love the feel of it all.

I graduated high school in The Netherlands, but it's hard to appreciate things like that when you are young. I've always been happy that I had the experience, but I'm so much more grateful that I got to go back 2 years ago for an adult visit. :swoon:

It was Allied Forces Central Europe - a NATO military command. There were Americans, Canadians, and Germans in the school together. My father was in the Air Force at the time. We did all live all over the place - amongst the Dutch and/or Germans in their cities, though. It wasn't like an Air Force base in the US, where everyone lives together in their own little community. Some people commuted 2 hours to get to school.
