How old are you? Seriously, why don't you start posting something worth a damn sometime instead of always defending your lifestyle. Your life to live, what do I care what you do, but step off your high horse and stop acting like its ideal.

The original poster has stated he wants to quit and pointed out the same exact things I said. My blanket statement wasn't out of line, it's a well known fact that cigarettes aren't good for your health and they stink. If you take that as an insult, then so be it.

When my dad quit he kept a container of celery and carrot sticks in the fridge. When he wanted a cig, he went for that instead. I don't know how that helps because I've never smoked, but I guess the actual "act" of smoking is something you become so accustomed to?

Totally agreed with FB. It's one thing having an addiction of some sort, but to actually not just defend a habit that is actually detrimental to your health but go so far as to extol its virtues, on a fitness board no less, is just ridiculous.

I know there are meds out there supposedly make it simpler but if I can avoid taking anymore medications I'd def prefer it. Anyway input appreciated , even if it's to hold off for a bit till im more stable (ive gotten that from my ex who knows me well).

Like I always say, "A geek is a geek!" This guy at work (huge geek) went out and bought a Harley, pulls up to work like he's all of a sudden cool!....LOL I told him, "A geek on a motorcycle is still a geek!"

As far as quitting smoking, I have seen people use those electronic ciggarettes.

I know a few people that rwnged from 10-30 years of hard smoking that transitioned to those and some eventually quit altogether.

Up here in Michigan there is no smoking in bars or restaurants. But people use those and I guess its fine because they don't have a smell???

Yeah just vaporized nicotine. You see a small puff of odorless steam, basically.

I have heard good things about those vapo cig machines also. A lot are USB powered, so you can sit at your computer and puff away. Vaporizing has a lot more benefits over burning the tobacco, so it is automatically a health benefit.

And why am I being forced to defend anything? Why do you even care what I do? How about if you worry about FB, and I can worry about me?

Your blanket statement isn't an insult. Its a classic example of a judgmental person who has their nose up in the air...aka someone not down. Thats cool tho FB. I dont hate on you for being boring...no need to hate.

I agree, smoking is unhealthy, but dont judge me...a "smoker" wouldn't.

As I said in the beginning cigs arent cool. I personally like to smoke and am entitled to that, thanks.
