Pain and Gain

I went into this movie completely blind. I knew some actors and that it was a Bay film. It is hard to believe it is based on a true story. It had some good fights, babes, roids, coke, funny moments, wtf moments, and of course an explosion from Michael "BOOM" Bay.

I enjoyed it, maybe a 50/50 chance of a re-watch if the wife was interested, otherwise I rate it a One Timer.

Lee Daniels' The Butler - A good movie that could have been great. Little long, missed the mark in a few areas, could have had better emotion in others. Still worth a see. B-

Don't get me wrong, it was well acted and a movie that makes you think. It's just a very depressing movie that makes you go through a nightmare with no real reward at the end. This movie will put you in a depressed type mood no matter how great you feel when you get there. I don't know about anyone else but that is not my idea of fun.

Sounds like they accomplished what they set out to achieve. It's not exactly marketed as a feel good flick. I want to see it but I hate to see things involving kids. Even if it is scripted.
