Wish we stopped this zoo business. Terrible life for the animals.

keeping the animals in confinement yes i agree. BUT they serve a great purpose when it comes to breeding programs for endangered animals.

I totally understand not wanting to see these animals kept in confinement, but at the same time, how many animals would we never get the opportunity to actually see? I love animals, and I don't know in my lifetime that I'll ever get to see an elephant, a lion, a tiger, etc.

They are wild animals, not paintings. Just because we can make them a spectacle doesn't mean we should. You aren't really "seeing" the animal, you are viewing this bored and confused creature lay around in a fake habitat.

Zoos concentrate on keeping visitors coming, helping endangered species is actually better left for the organizations that specifically concentrate in that.

                      Thanks for clarifying! :fight:

I understand the reasoning is "selfish", I'm just saying I appreciate the opportunity I've had to...."view" them.

Aren't zoos where we keep these endangered animals?
