I totally understand not wanting to see these animals kept in confinement, but at the same time, how many animals would we never get the opportunity to actually see? I love animals, and I don't know in my lifetime that I'll ever get to see an elephant, a lion, a tiger, etc.

They are wild animals, not paintings. Just because we can make them a spectacle doesn't mean we should. You aren't really "seeing" the animal, you are viewing this bored and confused creature lay around in a fake habitat.Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostI totally understand not wanting to see these animals kept in confinement, but at the same time, how many animals would we never get the opportunity to actually see? Zoos concentrate on keeping visitors coming, helping endangered species is actually better left for the organizations that specifically concentrate in that.

Thanks for clarifying! :fight:
I understand the reasoning is "selfish", I'm just saying I appreciate the opportunity I've had to...."view" them.
Aren't zoos where we keep these endangered animals?
