My wife works from home 90% of the time. If she has to go into the office I can work from home those mornings to get my kids on the bus. I've been blessed with a job that is extremely flexible with my hours. I get out of work at 3pm which means I can hit the gym and be home by 4:15. I can work from home if needed (sick child). I understand not everyone has this flexibility. Every family is different and has their method of making it work for them.

I think Rocket putting his kids before himself shows true selflessness and I respect him for that. That being said, you have to find some time for yourself and your spouse too.Originally posted by Chadd77 View PostAgain... my point is that everyone is different. And different things work for different families. Just because blm's friends schedule wouldn't work for me doesn't make it right or wrong.Originally posted by Chadd77 View PostMy wife works from home 90% of the time. Please tell me again why you don't understand the definition of "different". :)Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostDoesn't the "average" professional work until ~5pm? By the time they get home it's at least 5:30.
There really is no such thing as ideal, unless it's not working at all and doing as you please 24/7 while someone else pays all your bills. Even then, I'm not sure that's necessarily fulfilling.
I work until 2 in the morning, so my schedule is completely opposite on some days. We all do what we have to do or what works best for us/our family. *Someone* out there has to work all hours of the clock. Nobody else gets to judge whether it's wrong, right or somewhere in between.

I hear ya bro. I guess I can only speak on my current mindset. :)Originally posted by BEAST View PostLol at bouncer. Words of a typical 28 year old. Bro regardless of kids or no kids body and mind changes as you get older. You WILL NOT feel the same when you hit 40 or 50 period. You can yack about how things will never change and you will always be hardcore and blah blah blah. It will all change period. Kids or no kids.

Let me give you an example...what kind of mind set do you think all of the gods of bodybuilding had? Flex, Dorian, Ronnie and all of the others you can name. Those guys were living, breathing bodybuilding and look at them now. Age changes everything.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostI hear ya bro. I guess I can only speak on my current mindset. :)

I get it, I guess I just feel from from my experience with friends that have had kids, something changes. Like you are robbed a bit of being young and doing what you want. Your life turns into raising them.
I am not saying I have any problem at all with people that have kids, just as for right now at least, I don't see myself being at all ready or even interested in the thought of all that.

I actually agree with this totally, and would further add, often people say how great it is to have kids, it changes you etc etc, I look in their eyes and they look dead, it seems to actually halt.and retard their adventures and life experiences because they're shackled with responsibility. I think, yeah but if I have kids it wouldn't be that way, but I'm probably kidding myself.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostI get it, I guess I just feel from from my experience with friends that have had kids, something changes. One thing I'm certain of is that life its not a.competition to do as much as you can in the shortest possible time, but to do what you enjoy and cherish it, and for rocket its clearly spending time with his daughter, he should do it without hurry, and.cherish every moment.
I've adlai noticed beast grew titz

ya that makes more sence older kids alot easyer specially teensOriginally posted by blm View PostDon't speak of something you have no idea about. There is nothing fundamentally neglected. He and his wife and his teenage daughter balance responsibilities very well. They are an inspirational family. His wife works from home and runs the cheer team for her daughter as well.
