So Our company policy has always been we can roll over leave and build it up. I have always kept 30 vacation days on the books and then use the 3 weeks I earn each year. A rainy day fund if you will incase of emergencys. I can always take time off and not loose pay.
It was our understanding that we would get paid out if contracts ever changed...
Today we are told contractor is changing 1 jan...they are NOT going to pay us out..use all vacation time before 1 jan or loose it.. So instead of 5 weeks pay in a check and working as I should Im forced to take the vacation time and loose all that extra money thats been saved for years while they have been drawing intrest on it. Crooked motherfuckers..
So I have to take 30 days off work between now and Dec 31...and Im out about 6 grand... just fucking great!
