I believe some models (TT) have a quattro system that is mostly in 2wd and switches to awd when needed.

Some models, the a4 is one I believe, have all the time AWD.

So apparently audi puts the battery under the truck instead of the normal place for better weight balance. Cant even jump start a poor girl on the side of the road. :( :P
